Following the statements made in the UN Security Council by Hans Blix (UNMOVIC) and Mohamed ElBaradei (IAEA) to the effect that there are no grounds to give up continuing the work in Iraq in conformity with resolution 1441 and in connection with the intention to present a detailed plan of continued inspections, Putin and Schroeder expressed satisfaction with the fact that the conclusions of the international inspectors fully confirm the existence of real possibilities for a peaceful settlement of the Iraq problem.
