On January 14 Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexander Losyukov received Iranian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohsin Aminzade, in Moscow for Russian-Iranian inter-MFA consultations on antiterrorist and regional problems.

The sides focused on discussing the current state of, and prospects for bilateral relations. Expressing satisfaction with the intensity and content of the political dialogue, Losyukov and Aminzade discussed a schedule of upcoming contacts in this area.

A shared view was expressed concerning the importance of holding at an agreed-upon date the next meeting of the Permanent Russian-Iranian Commission on Commercial and Economic Cooperation in Teheran.
