Sokolin, chairman of Russia's Goskomstat, told journalists on Wednesday. According to him, by the year-end the
consumer price index will be about 15 per cent.
The number of unemployed, according to Goskomstat, in the first 11 months was 14.3 per cent. Sokolin also said that
the volume of industrial production between January and November rose by 3.7 per cent, compared with the same period of
2001. Besides, the volume of investments over this period increased by 2.5 per cent, real cash incomes of the population
by 9 per cent, and real wages by 17.4 per cent.
