The FSB (Federal Security Service) of Russia confirms the existence on Georgian territory of special camps for sabotage and terrorist training, Arkady Yedelev, deputy head of the FSB Antiterrorism Department, said, addressing the international counterterrorism conference.
According to information Russian special services have in their possession, training camps for militants up to this September were located in Tsinobali and Duisi villages, Akhmeti District, Georgia. Multistage training in the use of firearms, sabotage, hostage taking and military topography was being conducted there, the FSB official noted.
The financing of international terrorists on Georgian territory is done by one of bin Laden's retinue, Abu Hafs, a Jordanian citizen with Al-Qaida links.
