25 October 2002 00:00 ON THE DEVELOPMENTS IN THE SITUATION AROUND THE HOSTAGE-TAKING IN MOSCOW

In connection with the hostage-taking in Moscow the MVD of Russia has received from senior officials of the United States' Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Federal Interior Ministries of the FRG and Austria, and the representatives of the special services of the United Kingdom, Spain and France offers to render assistance to the Russian side in resolving the crisis situation. In particular, that includes sending officers and specialists of these agencies to Moscow to provide consulting and other assistance.
By now the Minister of Internal Affairs, Boris Gryzlov, has finished consultations on the establishment of closer cooperation with the above agencies within the framework of the coordination of international antiterrorist efforts. It is planned to get down to joint work already today.
