19 December 2002 00:00 CONCERNING USE OF SYSTEMS OF TRUNK OIL AND GAS PIPELINES AND OIL PRODUCTS LINES OF RUSSIA
Viktor Khristenko, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, today held a meeting of the Government Commission for Issues of the Use of the Systems of Trunk Oil and Gas Pipelines and Oil Products Lines.
At the end of the meeting Khristenko said the expected level of oil production in Russia for the year 2002 will constitute about 380 million tons, with the fourth quarter's target being 100 million tons. The expected volume of oil export for the current year will constitute 140 million tons to the far abroad countries and 32 million tons to the near abroad countries.
Russian oil production in 2003 is assumed to increase to 415-420 million tons, the target for the first quarter of next year being 100.6-100.7 million tons. The volume of export of Russian oil in the first quarter of 2003 will constitute 43 million tons to the far abroad countries and 9.5 million tons to the near abroad states. The share of oil export via pipeline transport systems in the first quarter of next year is planned at 32 million tons of oil.
The volume of transit through Russia in 2003 of Kazakhstan oil will amount to 19.5 million tons, of that from Azerbaijan 2.5 million tons, and from Turkmenistan about 1 million tons. In the first quarter of next year Russia will supply 4.8 million tons of oil to Ukraine, and 3.2 million tons of oil to Belarus.
