POLITICAL CONSULTATIONS WITH THE LEADERSHIP OF THE EUROPEAN UNION

On October 15, Deputy Secretary of the Russian Federation Security Council Oleg Chernov left for Brussels. As arranged, the Russian delegation which he heads will hold political consultations with the leadership of the European Union.
Questions of practical security cooperation between Russia and the European Union are expected to be discussed, with special focus on the coordination of efforts by the two sides in the struggle against international terrorism.
The program of the stay of the Russian delegation in Belgium envisages a meeting with Secretary General of the Council of the European Union Javier Solana.
The visit will last until October 16.
