Etteplan Oyj signs contracts for new tyre plant in Russia
Finnish industrial technology company Etteplan Oyj said on Monday (21 June) that it had signed contracts with the Finnish tyre manufacturer Nokian Tyres plc (Nokian Renkaat Oyj) and the Finnish project contractor Lemcon Ltd, part of the construction company Lemminkainen Group, concerning design services for a tyre plant in Vsevolozhsk, Russia. The agreement made with Nokian Tyres included the plant design for the project while the agreement with Lemcon Ltd included the design of electrical, HPAC and fire protection systems for the factory buildings, according to the company. The new factory would start production in 2005, the company added. The total value of the contracts would exceed EUR1m. One euro (EUR) is worth approximately 0.7 British pounds (GBP).
