Putin says he and US president can influence world situation
Moscow, 21 June: Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that he and US President Bush have "very good
relations" and "a feeling of mutual trust and respect".
"We have very good relations with the US president. We may have different views of, and approaches to, problems
but we have the main thing - a feeling of mutual trust and respect," the head of Russian state said at a meeting
with the chairman of the PepsiCo board's executive committee, Donald Kendall.
In Putin's view, "proceeding from this basis we can influence the development of bilateral relations and
have a positive influence on the development of the world situation in general".
