21 June 2004 13:50 Putin meets PepsiCo founder, praises relations with Bush Here's some footage we've just received from the Kremlin. Russian President Vladimir Putin has held a
meeting with the chairman of the PepsiCo board's executive committee, Donald Kendall, and given him an Order of
Friendship.
According to Vladimir Putin, throughout his career Kendall promoted the development of relations between Russia and
the USA, a major contribution to building contemporary international relations. [Kendall took PepsiCo into the former
Soviet Union and served on the US-USSR Trade and Economic Council, for example.]
At the meeting with Donald Kendall, Vladimir Putin also touched on the topic of relations between Russia and the USA.
The president said that he has very good relations with the US president and that there is a feeling of mutual trust and
respect.
