SVYAZINVEST CHIEF AGAINST PRIVATIZATION

Svyazinvest owns controlling stakes in seven interregional telecoms companies and in national long distance provider
Rostelecom. The government owns 75% minus one share in Svyazinvest. Mustcom acquired 25% plus one share in 1997 for
$1.87 billion.
