No events to be held in Lenin`s Mausoleum on June 22
MOSCOW. June 17 (Interfax) - Neither the Kremlin commandant's office nor the Federal Bodyguard Service (FSO) has received any applications for staging events inside Lenin's Mausoleum on June 22, a source in the FSO told Interfax on Wednesday. "The Mausoleum is a building where special security regulations are in force, so holding events in it or on Red Square is not possible without proper permission," he said. "Because there have been no applications for holding or covering events in the Mausoleum, no events can be held there," the source said. The Liberal Democratic Party group in the State Duma had announced its intention to meet in the Mausoleum's mourning hall at 4:00 a.m. on June 22. The Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union began on June 22, 1941. [RU EUROPE ASIA EMRG POL CRIM ODD] ap aw
