Russia pays $28.4 mln to IMF
MOSCOW. June 17 (Interfax) - The Russian Finance Ministry on Thursday paid $28.376 million (19.468 million SDR) in debt to the International Monetary Fund, a source in the ministry told Interfax. The payment was made right on schedule and is the second debt payment to the IMF in June. Russia's debt to the IMF as of January 1, 2004 amounted to about $5.1 billion, compared with $6.5 billion on January 1, 2003, The Finance Ministry is scheduled to make another two debt payments to the IMF in June - on June 25 a payments of 19.468 million SDR, and on June 29 - 41.667 million SDR.
