MOSCOW -- U.S. oil giant ConocoPhillips is in talks to acquire a possible stake in Russia's No. 1 oil producer,
LUKoil, news agencies reported Thursday.
"Negotiations are ongoing, but I don't know any concrete details," LUKoil chief financial officer
Sergei Kukura said, agencies reported.
It is the first time that LUKoil made a public statement about the talks. But it was unclear whether Conoco was
aiming for the government's 7.6 percent share in LUKoil or another stake
