16 June 2004 02:01 MTS boosts net profit in Q1 MOSCOW. June 16 (Interfax) - Mobile TeleSystems (MTS), a major Russian mobile phone operator, posted net profit to
U.S. GAAP of $207.8 million in the first quarter of 2004, up 159.1% year-on-year and 36.1% up on the fourth quarter of
2003, the company said in a press release.
Average monthly Revenue Per User (ARPU) was $14.7, against $18.5
the previous year and $16.3 the previous quarter in Russia and $14,
Revenue grew 81.3% year-on-year to $808.7 million.
