Russia: Yukos draws up 2005 budget based on "optimistic scenario"
Moscow, 17 June: The Yukos management began to draw up the company's budget for 2005, Prime-TASS has learnt from a source in the company management. The budget is based on an optimistic scenario in the development of the Yukos situation, he said. Yukos does not believe the state would like to make the company bankrupt because none of the sides will benefit from it. The company continues to function normally, and an increase in extraction has taken place. However, if decisions are taken which are negative towards the company , then, as of 2005, a process of natural reduction of extraction will begin, 12 per cent a year, due to failure to invest capital.
