Minister German Gref said at a government session today. In his report he outlined the main characteristics of the 2005
budget and the forecast for the development of the country. The main goals the government should bear in mind while
drafting the budget were set up by Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov:
[Fradkov] To what extent the forecast and budget meet the task of doubling the GDP by 2010 and, in general, focus the
economic policy on developing the economy, to what extent the budget policy will play an active role in accelerating
economic growth.
