Moscow CableCom Corp. Reports Fourth Quarter and Year End Results; Company Also Reports Results of Partial Redemption of its Preferred Stock

(NASDAQ: MOCC), the parent company of ComCor-TV, a Russian company that has licenses to provide telecommunications services to 1.5 million homes and businesses in Moscow, today announced its financial results for the fiscal year ended February 29, 2004. The Company incurred a net loss applicable to common shares of $2,440,000, or $1.12 per share, basic and diluted, for fiscal 2004, as compared to a net loss applicable to common shares of $728,000, or $0.35 per share, basic and diluted, for fiscal 2003. Results for fiscal 2003 included a loss from continuing operations of $2,332,000, or $1.11 per share, income from discontinued operations of $132,000, or $0.06 per share, and a gain from the sale of the operating assets of The J.M. Ney Company of $1,472,000, or $0.70 per share. For the three months ended February 29, 2004, the Company incurred a net loss applicable to common shares of $773,000, or $0.32 per share, basic and diluted, as compared to the fiscal 2003 fourth quarter when the Company reported a net loss of $577,000, or $0.27 per share, basic and diluted. The Company also announced that its partial redemption of its Preferred Stock had resulted in the conversion of 29,016 shares of Preferred Stock into 88,635 shares of Common Stock and the redemption of 8,761 shares of Preferred Stock for cash. This action represents a reduction of approximately 20% of the Preferred Stock that had been outstanding at the Company's fiscal year end. Francis E.
