Russian premier approves members of Naval Board
web site Moscow, 15 June: Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov has approved the composition of the Naval Board [referred to in previous reports as "Naval Collegium"] under the Russian government, the governmental press service reported on Tuesday [15 June]. Fradkov became the board chairman, while Defence Minister Sergey Ivanov and Transport Minister Igor Levitin were appointed deputy chairmen, the report reads. Among other members of the board are Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Economic Development and Trade German Gref, Interior Minister Rashid Nurgaliyev, Emergencies Minister Sergey Shoygu, Federal Security Service Director Nikolay Patrushev, Federal Security Service First Deputy Director and head of the Russian Border Service Vladimir Pronichev, head of the Federal Industry Agency Boris Aleshin, Director of the Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation Mikhail Dmitriyev, and Navy C-in-C Vladimir Kuroyedov.
