Armenian defence minister wants better economic ties with Russia
Moscow, 15 June: Armenian-Russian economic cooperation is not at a sufficiently high level at the moment, the secretary of the Armenian president's Security Council and Armenian defence minister, Serzh Sarkisyan, has said in Moscow. He said that the dynamics of the issue should still be examined, since Armenian-Russian economic relations were at a low level just a few years ago, while political and military-political relations dominated between the two countries. If we have managed to achieve a certain level today, this inspires hope that progress will probably be achieved in solving this issue. Military and military-political relations should always be based on mutually beneficial economic cooperation, the Armenian defence minister stressed.
