13 June 2004 05:47 RUSSIAN FIRM PLANS TO INVEST $600 MILLION IN INDIA (over the next few years) AFK Sistema, a Russian non-commodity company with interests in communications, media and high-technology
manufacturing, plans to invest $600 million for the purchase of Indian assets in the next few years. The company has
signed memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with Indian financial industrial groups for entering the Indian market. It is
now investing $3 billion in various projects.
