Survey: Moscow 3rd-Most Expensive City for Expats
With double-digit inflation amid real ruble appreciation and a red-hot housing market, Moscow seemed to have the
right recipe for overtaking Tokyo as the world's most expensive city for expatriates to live in.
Instead, according to an annual survey, it fell one notch to No. 3 behind Tokyo and London, both of which were buoyed
by currencies that have risen even faster against the dollar than the ruble has.
