Russian finance ministry submits 2005 budget figures
Moscow, 14 June: The Russian Finance Ministry has submitted the main figures of the 2005 federal budget to the government. According to the ministry's draft, the text of which is available to Interfax, the 2005 budget is expected to receive R3,100bn, or 17.2 per cent of GDP. Federal budget spending next year is expected at R2,900bn, or 16.1 per cent of GDP. The 2005 budget is expected to have a surplus of R187bn, or 1 per cent of Russia's GDP. The ministry expects that the average dollar-rouble exchange rate next year will be R30.2 per dollar. GDP in 2005 is expected to reach R18,080bn. The government is to consider the main figures of the 2005 budget on 17 June.
