EXPORTS HIT NEW MONTHLY RECORD IN APRIL
MOSCOW. June 10 (Interfax) - Russia's exports, determined by the balance of payments method, rose 4.7% from the previous month in April 2004 and hit a new monthly record of $14.19 billion. Imports edged up 0.5% from the previous month in April 2004 to $6.06 billion, so Russia's trade surplus increased 7.3% to $6.41 The Central Bank of Russia said on its website that the previous record, seen in December 2003, was $13.97 billion. billion.
