SLAVNEFT PRODUCTION UP 29% IN JAN-MAY
MOSCOW. June 11 (Interfax) - Russian oil company OAO Slavneft increased production 29% year-on-year to 8.68 million tonnes in the first five months of 2004, the company said in a press release. Slavneft production in May amounted to 1.82 million tonnes of oil, up 26.3% year-on-year. Output at the company's main production division - OAO Slavneft-Megionneftegaz, including contracts for operator services, amounted to 1.685 million tonnes in May - also up 26.3% year- on-year. The press release said that average daily production in May increased to 58,800 tonnes, up 26% year-on-year. Throughput at the company's refineries in May this year amounted to 1.73 million tonnes of hydrocarbons, which is 5.8% more than in the same month last year. Throughput in the first five months increased 0.7% year- on-year to reach 8.5 million tonnes. In May, OAO Slavneft-Yaroslavnefteorgsintez processed 930,800 tonnes of hydrocarbons, OAO Slavneft- Yaroslavl Mendeleyev Oil Refinery - 9,400 tonnes and OAO Mozyr Oil Refinery - 158,200 tonnes. Production of lubricating oil increased significantly: in May output amounted to 24,600 tonnes and 2118,500 tonnes in the first five months - up 23.6% and 20.1% year-on-year respectively.
