Poland to increase anti-smuggling measures on Kaliningrad
KALININGRAD. June 11 (Interfax) - Poland's General Councilor in Kaliningrad Yaroslav Chubinski said that ant-smuggling measures will be increased on the border of Poland and the Kaliningrad region. "The increase of control measures by Poland is caused, in the first place, by the fact that local citizens are gaining large profits from small-scale, near-border trade," Chubinski told Interfax on Friday. He said the Polish authorities are concerned about the fact that almost none of the young people who grew up near the Polish-Russian "This does not help the economic development of nearby regions, which have an unemployment rate of about 30%," he said.
