11 June 2004 23:46 British Council prepared to submit financial reports MOSCOW. June 11 (Interfax) - The British Council will make financial reports on its activities in Russia available to
the Russian Federal Economic and Tax Crimes Service.
"British Council and Russian Federal Economic and Tax Crimes Service officials met on Thursday and reached an
understanding on the transfer of documents. The format for the documents still has to be chosen," service press
secretary Tatiana Mironenko told Interfax on Friday.
"In effect, this conflict that has flared up for no good reason can be regarded as resolved," she said.
Russian law enforcement agencies had given the British Council until June 9 to submit reports to them on the
organization's financial activities in Russia to decide on the taxes and other mandatory payments the Council is to
