procedures for the entire area covered by the EU, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at a press conference following a

said he hopes we will sign them within the next few days.
The documents will make it easier for students, businessmen, scientists, cultural figures and certain categories of
civil servants, including government and Federation Council members and State Duma deputies, to obtain entry visas. In
addition, certain groups of citizens will be able to obtain five-year, multi-entry visas.
The foreign minister said that although the simplified visa regulations will not apply to journalists, it will be
possible for them to obtain visas under the new regulations as part of cultural exchanges.
