LDPR member barred from monitoring Chechen vote
GROZNY. June 10 (Interfax) - The Chechen elections commission has refused to allow Akhmat Atsayev, a representative of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR), to monitor the republic's presidential elections, the commission's deputy chairman Buvai-Sari Arsakhanov told Interfax. A decision to nominate representatives to monitor elections can be made only by a party's congress, not its supreme council, Arsakhanov said. LDPR member Marat Zainalabidov from Rostov-on-Don has already registered as a candidate in the Chechen presidential race. [RU EUROPE EEU EMRG POL VOTE] tm tl
