NCC signs deal with Alcatel
NIZHNY NOVGOROD. June 10 (Interfax) - Nizhny Novgorod Cellular Communications (NCC) has signed a contract with Alcatel for the delivery of 55 base stations. The contract, which was concluded on Thursday at a forum of Russian GSM standard cellular service operators in Nizhny Novgorod, envisages the delivery of the equipment by August 2004, Volgatelecom Deputy General Director for Mobile Communications and NCC General Director Mikhail Petrov told Interfax. He did not say how much the contract was worth, but said that Alcatel regularly delivers equipment for Volgatelecom subsidiaries and dependent companies. [RU ASIA EUROPE EEU EMRG TEL FR] rm
