10 June 2004 05:25 MiG order portfolio nearly doubled in past year MOSCOW. June 10 (Interfax) - The order portfolio at Russia's MiG Aircraft-Building Corporation has nearly
doubled over the past year, MiG General Director and General Designer Valery Toryanin said at a MiG presentation for
Duma deputies in Moscow on Thursday.
"A year ago our company had an order portfolio of $1.4 billion, and it has now nearly doubled to $2.6
billion," he said.
The world market needs new efficient planes, and the corporation is ready to supply them, he said.
"New clients wishing to buy modifications of MiG-29 jets contact us every day. This tendency inspires optimism
regarding the fulfillment of our military and civilian projects. We are taking the Tu-334 or MiG-100 out of our
plans," Toryanin said.
