Russia: Yukos appeal against seizure ruling to be heard on 2 July
Moscow, 11 June: The Moscow Court of Arbitration has scheduled for 2 July the hearing of an appeal lodged by the Yukos oil company against a 15 April ruling by a court of lower jurisdiction, lawyer Sergey Pepelyayev, who represents the interests of Yukos in court, told journalists on Friday [11 June]. The lower court had ordered the seizure of the oil company's property as a precautionary measure in the Ministry of Taxes and Levies [now transformed into the Federal Tax Service] action against Yukos on the recovery of more than R99bn in tax payments.
