09 June 2004 11:47 Open letter calls for communists to oust Zyuganov MOSCOW. June 9 (Interfax) - Six members of the Russian Communist Party have released an open letter to delegates to
the party's upcoming session on July 3, calling on them to express no-confidence in party leader Gennady
Zyuganov.
The letter calls on communists to consider the responsibility of Zyuganov and other presidium members for flagrant
violations of party rules and decisions, which threatens to destroy the Communist Party from within.
The letter says that "Zyuganov puts himself above the party and
outside the party. He makes the Communist party work for him, as
"The delegates of the upcoming Communist Party session are already being ordered to vote in accordance with the
opinion of Zyuganov, who thinks he is the only one who can be the leader of the Communist Party," the open letter
said.
Gorbachev once made the Soviet Party work for him."
Zyuganov was behind the failure to unite all patriotic forces during the last parliamentary and presidential
elections, the letter says.
It also says that Zyuganov and his associates "are preparing to sell the Communist Party to agents of oligarchic
capital." [RU EUROPE EEU EMRG POL] aa tl
