Russia sees budget surplus of 59.2 bln rubles in Q1
MOSCOW. June 9 (Interfax) - Russia's federal budget surplus totaled 59.2 billion rubles, or 1.7% of GDP, in the first quarter of 2004, the Finance Ministry reported. Budget implementation in the first quarter will be discussed at a government meeting on June 10 at which Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin will give a speech. Revenue totaled 688.6 billion rubles, 7.7% over the quarterly target, and spending totaled 629.3 billion rubles, 7.7% less than the target.
