EvrazHolding output falls 1.7% in 5 mths
MOSCOW. June 9 (Interfax) - EvrazHolding, Russia's largest steel producer, reduced commercial roll output 1.7% year-on-year to 981,100 tonnes in January-May 2004, EvrazHolding said in press release. Crude steel production fell 2.4% to 5.6 million tonnes and pig iron production fell 6.7% to 4.71 million tonnes. In May alone, EvrazHolding produced 1.01 million tonnes of commodity roll, 976,100 tonnes of pig iron and 1.16 million tonnes of steel. EvrazHolding smelted 13.83 million tonnes of steel in 2003.
