Unified Energy System of Russia company profits decline
The clear profit of the Unified Energy System of Russia company [UES] in 2003 declined by almost 21 per cent, says a company press release. In all, almost R52bn worth of output was marketed last year, some 2 per cent less than to 2002. However, the clear profit of the Unified Energy System of Russia holding amounted to almost R32.5bn in 2003, 25 per cent more than in 2002. The Unified Energy System of Russia holding incorporates 73 regional joint-stock power engineering and electrification companies, 44 joint-stock electric power station companies, six supervisory power engineering companies, 54 scientific research institutes and a number of other companies.
