10 June 2004 20:04 The leaders of the G8 nations are likely to address global concerns over surges in crude oil prices "The G-8 countries took up concerns over higher crude oil prices during their second-day summit meeting Wednesday. The issue should be addressed in the chair's summary and is likely to be," a senior Japanese government official told reporters on condition of anonymity. During the summit's session on global economic issues Wednesday, the leaders of Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia and the United States urged oil-producing countries to ensure stable oil supplies in a bid to help achieve sustainable global economic recovery.
