[Presenter] The days of Russia in Kazakhstan opened in Ust-Kamenogorsk [administrative centre of East Kazakhstan Region] today. A delegation from the neighbouring country is headed by Governor of Altay Territory Mikhail Yevdokimov. As is known, the Russian actor [Yevdokimov is a famous Russian comedian] recently won the elections and this is his first visit to our country in his new capacity as the head of a region. The schedule consists of business meetings, familiarization with the region's industry and a cultural programme with the participation of the best Russian performers. [Correspondent] Among the guests - they are more than 200 - are the heads of cities and districts in the border area, businessmen and famous actors. People's Actor of Russia Valeriy Zolotukhin drew up a cultural programme for Kazakh people. At the request of the territory's new governor, Mikhail Yevdokimov, the guests were shown industrial facilities. Agricultural producers touched upon a lingering issue - eastern Kazakhstan has an abundance of meat and Altay Territory has a powerful processing industry. It is impossible to do without joint production. [Yevdokimov] We have now talked about and discussed a lot of things. And I think that those ties that were established earlier between Altay Territory and Kazakhstan, in particular [those areas of] Kazakhstan which border with us - [changes thought] I am sure that the ties that existed previously will not bear any comparison with what we will have in future, in a positive meaning of this word. [Correspondent] Apart from the economy, the Russians took an interest in Kazakhstan's welfare experience. Many questions were asked about the mortgage system as Russia is experiencing a decline in housing construction. The guests were astonished with the pace of reforms in Kazakhstan.
