10 June 2004 12:43 Russian-US crew postpone spacewalk from 16 to 24 June Moscow, 10 June: The spacewalk which the members of the 9th main expedition are scheduled to carry out has been
postponed for eight days. The official spokesman for Mission Control Centre near Moscow, Valeriy Lyndin, informed an
ITAR-TASS correspondent of this today. "Gennadiy Padalka and Michael Fincke were scheduled to work outside the ISS
[International Space Station] on 16 June, but the spacewalk has been postponed till 24 June," he said.
During the specially arranged spacewalk the crew are to repair a gyroscope on the American segment of the station
that helps orientate the station in space.
