SURGUTNEFTEGAS PRODUCTION UP 10.6% IN 5 MONTHS
MOSCOW. June 8 (Interfax) - OAO Surgutneftegas produced 24.032 million tonnes of oil in the first five months of 2004, up 10.6% from 21.73 million tonnes a year earlier, the company said in a press release. Drilling amounted to 1.26 million meters compared with 1.246 million meters in the first five months of last year. Exploration Gas production in the reporting period amounted to 6.077 billion cubic meters, which was 4.8% more than in the same period last year. The company processed 1.71 bcm of natural gas in the reporting period. drilling in January-May 2004 amounted to 108,000 meters, up from 103,000 meters a year earlier. The company brought 369 new wells into production.
