08 June 2004 07:51 Court puts off suit filed by remand center against lawyer
The case took its start from an incident on November 11, 2003, when
defense lawyer Olga Artyukhova was searched as she was leaving the
remand center and a note in her folder was seized. Speaking on
MOSCOW. June 8 (Interfax) - Moscow's Chereyomushkinsky Court on Tuesday postponed for one day the hearing of a
libel suit filed by the remand center Matrosskaya Tishina, where former Yukos CEO Mikhail Khodorkovsky is being held,
and by two of its employees against Moscow Bar Association President Genri Reznik.

The remand center inspectors involved in the incident, Alexander Fukalov and V. Bazanov, are asking the court to have
Reznik retract her statement about them.
The plaintiffs say in their suit that Artyukhova was not searched and her belongings were not examined.
