Wimm-Bill-Dann net profit drops 25.4% in Q1
Revenue in the first quarter climbed to $278.3 million from $223.9 million and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and MOSCOW. June 8 (Interfax) - Wimm-Bill-Dann Foods, one of Russia's main dairy products and juice manufacturers, posted net profit to U.S. GAAP of $5.3 million in the first quarter of 2004, down 25.4% from $7.1 million in the same period of 2003, the company said in a press release. amortization (EBITDA) rose to $25.9 million from $21.6 million. "The first quarter clearly showed that the regional expansion program is starting to show positive results, having an influence on revenue growth and creating a basis for limited growth over the next three years," Sergei Plastinin, the company's chairman, said.
