TVEL ups net profit 33% in 2003
MOSCOW. June 7 (Interfax) - Russia's TVEL, a leading nuclear fuel producer, increased net profit 33.4% in 2003 to 6 billion rubles from 4.5 billion rubles, the company told Interfax. Sales increased 20%, of which 94% was made up of the company's main product: fuel assemblies for nuclear power stations in Russia and Sales revenue rose 20% to 27.4 billion rubles. Output in current prices increased 26.8%. Capital grew 34.4% to 20.3 billion rubles. TVEL provided nuclear fuel to 74 reactors in 2003, including 30 in abroad. Russia. Supplies were also made to nuclear power stations in Ukraine, Armenia, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Germany, Finland, Sweden and others.
