Aeroflot to pay 43 kopecks per share for 2003
MOSCOW. June 7 (Interfax) - Shareholders in Russian flag carrier Aeroflot Russian Airlines decided at their annual shareholders meeting on Saturday to spend 12.2% of net profit on dividends for 2003, to be paid at the rate of 43 kopecks per common share with a par value of 1 ruble, compared with 29 kopecks in 2002. According to the main principles of Aeroflot's dividend policy, dividends should amount to not less than 10% of net profit. Dividends for 2003 will be paid within 60 days of the AGM. The shareholders also confirmed the company's annual report, balance sheet, profit and loss accounts and distribution of profit in 2003. Net profit to international accounting standards was up 41.8% to $126.7 million. Net profit to Russian standards increased 24.4% to 3.978 billion rubles. The company has charter capital of 1,110,616,299 rubles, in 1- ruble common shares. The state owns 51.17% of shares in the airline, NRB - about 30% and private investors - about 10.62%.
