Russian foreign minister to attend Islamic Conference meeting on 14 June
Moscow, 7 June: The Russian Foreign Ministry has confirmed that Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will attend the
conference of foreign ministers of countries in the Organization of the Islamic Conference [OIC] in Istanbul on 14
June.
Developing cooperation between Russia and the OIC was the main topic at Sergey Lavrov's meeting with Chairman of
the Council of Muftis of Russia Ravil Gaynutdin [presumably today].
"The prospects for this cooperation are quite promising," the Russian Foreign Ministry said. [Passage
