03 June 2004 12:45 WATCHDOG TO CHECK COMPLAINTS FROM KRASNOYARSK GES SHAREHOLDERS MOSCOW. June 3 (Interfax) - The Federal Financial Markets Service will look into complaints about an additional share
issue from shareholders of Krasnoyarsk hydropower plant, the service's chairman, Oleg Vyugin, told the press.
The Federal Financial Markets Service received various complaints from shareholders, some of which will have to be
resolved in court, he said. "But various complaints simply need to be checked. This is usual practice when
complaints are made, the watchdog needs to carry out checks," he added.
The service on Wednesday decided to stop a share issue by Krasnoyarsk hydropower plant that the Federal Securities
Commission registered on May 14. The watchdog said it had found unreliable information in the documents on which the
share registration was based.
Earlier, based on complaints from the hydropower plant's shareholders, the Federal Financial Markets Service
instructed the company's registrar holder Registrator ROST to stop operations linked with the share issue until the
situation was clarified.
Krasnoyarsk hydropower plant planned to issue 97.7 million common shares with par value of 1 ruble. The
company's board set the price for the issue at 71 rubles a share.
Russian Aluminum controls about 70% of the hydropower plant's shares and Krasnoyarskenergo (a subsidiary of
Unified Energy System, which also owns a small stake in the plant) holds 25.02%
