03 June 2004 23:21 Norilsk Nickel has 9 subsidiaries abroad MOSCOW. June 3 (Interfax) - MMC Norilsk Nickel has nine subsidiaries abroad, according to the metals giant's
2003 report to International Accounting Standards.
The report says all of these are wholly owned subsidiaries except
for Stillwater, in which Norilsk Nickel owns 55.5%, and Norgem SA
The subsidiaries are investment firm Norilsk Nickel Holding in Switzerland; UK-based agents Norilsk Nickel Europe and
Norimet; Norgem SA Belgium; Norplat Trading in the British Virgin Islands; Norilsk Nickel Metal Trading and Metal Trade
Overseas in Switzerland; Norimet USA; and U.S. mining company Stillwater.
Belgium, which is a 51%-subsidiary.
Norimet sells Norilsk Nickel's precious metals and Norilsk Nickel Europe, among others sells base nonferrous
metals.
