ABRAMOVICH TO SELL REMAINING STAKE IN RUSAL
MOSCOW. June 2 (Interfax) - Chukotka Governor Roman Abramovich could sell his remaining 25%-stake in Russian Aluminum or RusAl to Oleg Deripaska, who currently owns 75% of the company, the world's second largest producer of aluminum, the Vedomosti newspaper reports well- informed sources as saying. The sources said Abramovich does not control the entire package through Millhouse Capital: Boris Berezovsky and his business partner Badri Patarkatsishvili are the end beneficiaries of 15% of this share package. Gulzhan Moldazhanova, managing director of Basic Element, which owns 75% of RusAl, denied information about the talks and that Basic Element has first right of refusal to buy RusAl shares above its own 75%. Abramovich sold Basic Element, which is owned by Oleg Berezovsky told the paper that he and Badri Patarkatsishvili do not own 15%, but 25% of the RusAl shares left with Millhouse and are not planning to sell them. Berezovsky and Patarkatsishvili are the beneficiaries of the remaining 25% share package. Deripaska, 25% of his shares in RusAl in 2003.
