VNESHTORGBANK TO OPEN OFFICE IN GROZNY
MOSCOW. June 2 (Interfax) - The Vneshtorgbank (VTB) executive board has decided to open a bank office in the Chechen capital of Grozny, reads a VTB press release. The bank's Grozny office, which will be opened in September, will offer a wide range of banking services for the republic's agencies, government-funded organizations, social and transport sector companies, as well as the civilian population and servicemen stationed in the republic on a permanent basis. The opening of the VTB office will help build a modern banking sector in Chechnya as a vital civil society institution, a key element of the federal program aimed at reviving the republic's economy and restoring its social sector, the press release says.
