GOLDEN TELECOM TO PAY 20-CENT QUARTERLY DIVIDENDS
MOSCOW. June 2 (Interfax) - The board of directors at Golden Telecom has approved second-quarter dividends of twenty cents per share, the same as for the first quarter. The dividends will be paid out on June 28, the calculation date for the payments will be June 14. There were 36.23 shares in Golden Telecom with par value of $0.01 in circulation as of April 6. Right now, Alfa Group owns 43.6% of Golden Telecom, Rostelecom 15%, investment funds run by baring Vostok Capital and Capital International Global Emerging Markets Private Equity Fund 7.6% and 8.8%, respectively. Norway's Nye Telenor East Invest AS clinched a deal in February with Capital International Global Emerging Markets Private Equity Fund L.P. (CIG) for 40,000 shares in Golden Telecom, so Telenor will become the owner of 20.5% of the company's stock. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the Soros Group and other private and institutional investors also own stock in Golden Telecom.
